FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How long will it take me to go through the maize?
A: It will take a minimum of ½ hour to complete the maize if your lucky! Plan to spend at least 1 to 1½ hours in the maize.
Q: How should we dress for the maize?
A: The maize is located in an open farm field. We suggest your dress appropriate for hiking/walking Our trails are bumpy and you need to watch your step when walking through the trails. Use of strollers is authorized, however we recommend using backpacks instead. The weather may make trails muddy and very slippery. We highly recommend sweaters and jackets after dark as the temperature drop after sunset is quite steep. Freezing temperatures are not uncommon.
Q: What time do you close the maize?
A: Friday and Sunday nights the maize closes at 7 p.m. Saturdays we are open until 9 p.m.
Q: When is the last time you allow entrance to the maize?
A: The maize will be closed for entrants 1 hour prior to closing. Friday and Sunday last entrance is at 6 p.m. Saturdays last entrance to the maize is 8 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Q: Does the maize close for weather?
A: YES. Fall weather is unpredictable and we may close due to rains or snow. If it has rained prior to Friday, or on Saturday or Sunday, please call our Maize hotline at 541 884 2672 for the maize status.
Q: Do you sell food at the Maize?
A: NO. Due to strict health standards we are unable to serve hot food items. However, we do sell Pepsi Products, bottled water, Gatorade, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and Candy bars, pepperoni sticks, and other pre-packaged snacks.
Q: What type of payment do you accept?
A: At this time, we can only accept cash payment. We will take checks for Groups or Special Events.
Q: Can I get lost and not be found?
A: No, during peak times Corn Cops will be stationed in the maze. They will only tell you the way out if you tell them 'I give Up' We supply each customer with a map to keep with them while in the maize.
Q: Are Flashlights required after dark?
A: Yes, you need to have a flash light to enter the corn maize on Saturday Nights. There is no lighting in the maize and is required as part of our Insurance requirement.
Q: Do you have pumpkins and corn stalks for sale?
A: Yes. We sell our corn stalks and our pumpkin patch is well on its way. We anticipate that pumpkins will be ready in early October.
Q: Do you have a lost and found?
A: Yes. Items left can be recovered at the Concession Stand.
Q: Are you open on Halloween Night? Will it be haunted?
A: We will be open Halloween Night. We are working with a private group to try and coordinate a 'Haunted Maize' . Stay tuned and check back for details. We plan to have a Haunted Night if we can coordinate the event.
